Fall is in full swing! Looking for something to do in Charleston? You’ve come to the right place!
For all you ice fans out there, October brings the start of the South Carolina Stingrays Hockey season! As a minor league team to the Boston Bruins, a night out at the rink proves to be a great time!
Another notable run that starts their season in October is the Best of Broadway Series at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. Charleston has crept up as a top runner in the country for bringing in top Broadway shows to the Lowcountry.
I can’t go any further without mentioning Boone Hall Plantation’s famous Fright Nights! It has become South Carolina’s biggest multi-attraction haunted event! So beware… you’ll be in for a scarrrrrry ghoul time!!! If you need something for the youngsters this Halloween season, or if the nightmares are too much for you to handle, they have a family fun Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch with the traditional hay ride, corn maze and of course, pumpkins!
Here’s a local’s insider tip… Each year Legare Farms puts on their own Legare Farms Pumpkin Patch and Maze, complete with hay rides, petting zoo, pumpkins, and my favorite… homemade pumpkin butter! While this experience is more low-key, it is no less fun for the youngsters and adults alike. At the same time, your admittance helps to keep this local farm, that’s been in the same family for generations (since 1725!!), alive and thriving. Fun time… good cause… SOLD!
