The Sound of Charleston - Concerts Year-Round!


Experience the musical sounds that help define Charleston's history - from gospel to light classics - coming to life in historic Circular Congregational Church during live 75 minute concerts.

Each concert presents light classics of the venerable St. Cecelia Society; music of the Civil War sung and played on authentic period instruments; gospel spirituals song by the slaves as they passed through the port of Charleston; music of George Gershwin, who wrote the opera "Porgy & Bess" while on a working vacation in Charleston.

All concerts are at 7 pm at Circular Congregational Church, 150 Meeting Street, in the heart of the Historic District.
