It's the most wonderful time of the year... in Charleston, SC that is! Flowers are blooming, the temperatures are modest and the city is coming alive with great springtime happenings throughout the Lowcountry. Browse the month to find all kinds of great events to attend!
Probably the most notable event that takes place this month is the Cooper River Bridge Run. Thousands of people from all over the world flock to Charleston for this extraordinary event.
It’s funny because locals will “stay in” this weekend simply because Charleston is inundated with tourists. That said however, there are many who do brave the crowds because the exhilaration of the weekend is infectious! Truly a good time!

This month the Charleston Farmer’s Market opens and runs through December. Held at Marion Square every Saturday morning, there are vendors for food, jewelry, crafts and live entertainment. The great part of this event is it’s FREE! Just be sure to have some duckets in your pockets because I’m positive you’ll find something there you will want to take home!
With April’s pleasant weather now here, it’s time to get out your dancin’ shoes! Whether you know the SC State Dance or not, you’ll have a large time at the Shaggin’ on the Cooper events that kick off this month!
Live entertainment, food, beverages and people just wanting to have a good time meet up under the Cooper River Bridge… so get up and join in the fun!
Easter is usually in April too… sometimes in March. So be sure to check both months for Easter events throughout the Lowcountry.
