Even though summer is coming to a close, Charleston, SC is still open for business! There are lots of things to do in the Lowcountry and we have them listed below. Browse the events and activities of the month for great things to wind down the summer fun.

And since it's still so so so hot outside, there are plenty of indoor things to do, tours to see and great places to eat.

But if you are still able to brave the heat, August holds one of my all-time favorite outdoor festivals… the Irvin-House Vineyards Annual Grape Stomping Festival.

Not only do you get to drink wine from Charleston’s only vineyard, eat great local fare and listen to awesome live music, but you can enter the entertaining Lucy Look-a-Like contest in honor of the famous episode of I Love Lucy when she crushes grapes in a barrel… hilarious!!

And you don’t have to dress up to have a go at “making wine” in a barrel either. Not to mention there is no better backdrop than the shadow moss-draped oak trees against a vast vineyard and rustic, old-time barn. So much fun!
