Can someone say "Beach Day?!" With summer finally here, and the temperatures reaching their all time highs, it almost seems like the best place to be is in the water.

But there's much more to do in Charleston, SC than just play at the beach (albeit not a bad idea either).

The first thing that comes to mind are all the Fourth of July celebrations to be had. Probably the biggest display you'll see is at Patriots Point, but you can see their fireworks from almost any place in Charleston that is along the water.

If you plan it right you can see a few all at once... Folly Beach, Sullivan's Island and Patriots Point. Not to mention fireworks are legal here in the south, so you may get closer to a few pops and sparklers than anticipated!

And if you find the outdoors is just too much heat to handle, you can still enjoy what Charleston has to offer. There are even Motor Tours that offer air conditioned buses for you to ride around all day to see the sights while learning Charleston's rich history. And if you do brave the great outdoors in this heat, be sure to have plenty of water to keep you hydrated!
